About Brian Nelson-Palmer

Brian’s drive is to help overworked project managers to level up their life balance and pump up their practical productivity. Brian’s always maintained an incredibly high level of performance at work, while also thriving in his personal life. From teaching fitness classes, to being the drummer in a rock band, to hosting a syndicated weekly radio show, to traveling the world, in addition to his day job. His friends continuously asked “How do you do it all?” and “How do you keep track of it all?” What he shared changed their lives. This is where the idea for Productivity Gladiator® was born.

At age 4, Brian was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, and was told that life would be 10-20 years shorter than everyone else. Figuring out the easiest and best ways to thrive and maximize every minute, while still handling all of life’s responsibilities, became a lifelong pursuit. Paying it forward by sharing these tactics and hacks is the gift he now shares.

“Time is the currency of your life, spend it wisely.”

Brian comes from a diverse background of education and experience. He is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and an emphasis on “trying all the things, and living life to the fullest”. He’s been a public speaker and instructor since 2002. His interest in continuous improvement surfaced in 2005 when his workplace began implementing LEAN Sign Sigma extensively. His fascination with practical productivity and work-life balance came to the forefront while teaching professional development and productivity classes. In 2022, Brian shared his TEDx talk "Reimagining the actual value of your time” and the talk went viral, achieving thousands of downloads in a matter of hours. The talk was selected as an “editor’s pick” on the TEDx youtube channel, an honor just one talk out of every 500 or so is selected for.

Brian is an experienced and award-winning facilitator, instructor, and public speaker. He teaches workshops and speaks at conferences and events across the country. He has a knack for making complex ideas easy to understand and relatable.

The Name — Productivity Gladiator®

There’s a reason for the name! More than ever, businesses and lives are working in teams. People are interconnected and rely on each other. You’ll notice the difference working with a trained Productivity Gladiator®.

The “Productivity” Part:
This training gives people a system, a reliable process, to handle it all, and calm the overwhelm. The emails, the tasks, the projects, the life balance, the family, the phone calls, all of it. This training helps create team members you can count on. Team members who won’t drop the ball, Team members with a proven system to keep track of it all, AND do it faster and better than average.

The “Gladiator” Part:
A “Gladiator” is the warrior you look to with the stick-wid-it-ness and training to persevere to the end and win the war, not just one battle. A career is a “long game”. Productivity Gladiator® training provides specific tactics and skills to feel on top of “life” too, not just “work”. These folks become the go-to team members that people want to work with and are GOLD for an organization. The ones that can stick around, and keep pace over time, for the marathon, not just a sprint.
